Overview

Guidance for every size and accuracy class

Linear guides carry and guide moving masses along an axis, and in doing so largely determine the accuracy, stiffness and service life of a machine. As a specialist distributor for linear motion technology we cover the full spectrum — from a miniature guide inside a measuring instrument to a roller-type profile rail in a machine tool.

Because the mounting dimensions of our guides follow common market standards, they can normally be fitted as a direct replacement for existing components. Tell us the part number of your current guide and we will identify the matching version.

Versions

  • Miniature guides from size 5 to 20, including wide versions
  • Profile rail guides with recirculating balls in sizes 15 to 55
  • Profile rail guides with recirculating rollers in sizes 35 to 55
  • Cross roller guides with or without forced cage control
  • Ball bushings and ball splines for round shaft guidance
  • Linear tables as a ready-to-install guidance unit
  • Lubrication cartridges for extended relubrication intervals available as an option

Designs and sizes at a glance

Design Sizes Characteristics
Miniature guide size 5 – 20 Compact design, also in wide versions, for restricted installation spaces
Profile rail, ball type size 15 – 55 High load ratings under load from all four directions
Profile rail, roller type size 35 – 55 Higher stiffness and load rating than comparable ball versions
Cross roller guide per application Limited stroke, very high running accuracy, can be preloaded free of play
Ball bushing / ball spline per shaft diameter Guidance on a round shaft; the ball spline also transmits torque
Linear table per application Pre-assembled unit of guide and table top, ready to install

Frequently asked questions

Questions about linear guides

Which linear guide sizes are available?

We supply miniature guides from size 5 to 20 including wide versions. Profile rail guides are available with recirculating balls in sizes 15 to 55 and with recirculating rollers in sizes 35 to 55.

Will your linear guides fit my existing components?

The mounting dimensions follow common market standards, so a replacement is usually possible without design changes. Tell us the part number of your current guide and we will identify the matching version.

When is a roller guide the better choice over a ball guide?

At the same size, roller guides offer higher stiffness and load ratings because the load is carried along a line rather than through points. That makes them the better choice for heavy loads and high cutting forces, for example in machine tool construction.

Can guide rails be supplied in special lengths?

Yes. Rails can be cut to length. Send us the length you need together with the required hole pattern and we will confirm feasibility with our manufacturers.
